St. Martin’s has a variety of ministries that support our worship and common life. All our welcome to share their gifts and talents in these ministries. To learn more details and/or join a specific ministry, please contact the office at .
Altar Guild: This is a quiet and often behind-the-scenes ministry. Guild members prepare the altar for worship on Sundays, holy days, and special liturgies such as weddings and funerals. Members work in teams of two.
Sides Team: Sides Team members welcome people to worship, hand out bulletins, usher and assist in other ways with the logistics of the liturgy.
Greeters: This ministry is one of welcoming people, old-timers and visitors alike, when they arrive at St. Martin’s. They assist newcomers in finding seats, locating Sunday School rooms, encourage visitors to sign our welcome card, etc.
Hospitality: This team prepares refreshments for our time of fellowship immediately following worship.
Bread Makers: Like to bake? Then join with this team to make the Communion Bread for our Sunday services. Recipe provided!
Chalice Bearers: Bearers help in the sharing of Holy Communion by serving the consecrated chalice.
Readers: Each Sunday, a member of this ministry reads 1-2 lessons as appointed for the day during Sunday worship.
Intercessors: Each week, an intercessor prepares and offers the prayers of the community at our 10 a.m. Sunday worship.
Sunday School: teachers, assistants, musicians and helpers with special events such as the Christmas pageant are part of this ministry.
Counters: Counters collect the offering each week to count, record, and prepare the deposit.
Music Group: Do you love to sing? Play an instrument? Then this may be the place for you to provide the ministry of music and music leadership during worship. Contact Ariana Rodriguez, our Music Director, or the office at .
Newcomer Ministry: Members of this team welcome newcomers through greeting them at worship, following up with a call or letter, sharing materials about the parish, and planning periodic newcomer welcoming events such as wine and cheese socials, etc. Leader: Martha Corcoran.
