St. Martin’s is moving ahead with plans to design and build its new space of worship and community connection. For the past few months, an Implementation Team has moved us forward. We are now at a juncture where that Team’s work has ended and smaller, more task-specific committees are forming. A Steering Committee has been created to manage the day-to-day details of the building process. Other committees will form as the need arises (such as a capital campaign committee).
The parish has created a thorough Architectural Vision Statement that expresses our guiding image for our space. Copies are available from the church office. A RFP (request for proposal) has also been written and approved by the Diocese. Several architectural firms have been interviewed and vetted based on criteria established by the Steering Committee. A short list of firms to invite to submit an RFP has been created. We hope to send out the RFP in the near future.
We are continuing conversations with Reichmann and Associates around sale or joint use of our land. Our realtor is continuing to explore other opportunities as well. Watch for news of upcoming meetings to share information on our progress in this area!
We have some exciting and innovative possibilities presenting themselves. We are very much on the move and looking forward in hope and faith to the future God has in store for us.
